About

Dan Valerie 7-10Dan Hall has been a resident of Burnsville since 1991. He has been one of the most active volunteers in the community. For his work, the Burnsville City Council awarded Dan with the “Community Builder” award. Dan and his wife, Valerie, have eight children and six grandchildren.

Experience and Community Involvement

Dan serves as a volunteer police and fire department chaplain in Burnsville, providing comfort and care for those facing tragedy (including volunteering for days to help those whose homes were destroyed by the fire at Burncliff Apartments) and notifying people when loved ones have died.

Dan founded and managed the Open Arms food shelf that delivered food to needy families in Burnsville on a weekly basis for nearly 10 years.

Family

Dan has been married to his wife Valerie since 1974. They have eight children (four boys and four girls) and six grandchildren. Two of the children are attorneys, one is a hair stylist at Aafusion Salon in Burnsville, one is a legal assistant at Twin Cities Law Firm, one is working towards medical school, two are in college, and one is in ninth grade.

Personal

Dan coached youth hockey and soccer teams in Burnsville where his children played. Dan can occasionally be seen biking on paths and streets in Burnsville or along the Mississippi River. He enjoys walking with his wife on Portland Avenue near their home or sitting at the coffee shops in Burnsville’s Heart of the City.
